Business trip crash course 101

Things that you absolutely need to bring to assure a smooth experience:

  • A very large thermos. Hotels usually give those dinky-ass Keurig coffee makers or the small brewers and only boil single cups at a time. How am I supposed to store my hot water?? (For best results, leech water from the breakfast or beverage area in the lobby, much faster than trying to use the coffee brewers to fill one cup at a time.)
  • A small thermos. For daily excursions, especially in cold places. If the cap functions as a makeshift cup, even better.
  • Car USB charger. I rushed back to my hotel with 3% battery left after a long day out. I was using it as a GPS, so if it went out, I am SOL. Classic mistake from me.
  • A stream box. This is closer to a first world problem, though. If the hotel TV has built-in Youtube services and other apps, it's not a problem. I didn't realize how much I missed that feature until I had to use a TV that only had cable. I want to listen to my Youtube chill playlist on the big screen, damn it!
  • PANTS WITH POCKETS.
  • A microwave-friendly container. Alternatively, go buy Chinese takeout and order something not extremely greasy. Microwaving the takeout boxes with a cup of hot water is secret life pro tip.
  • A sponge. You will struggle to properly wash any utensils and kitchenware you have otherwise.

This post is weeks overdue because I forgot to publish it but better late than never. I will have pictures in a separate post.
